Position Title: industrial Control Systems Specialist

Reports to: Head of ICT Operations

Department: Information Communication Technology

Group: Administration

Location: Doha

Job Purpose

Administer the Company Industrial Control Systems (ICS) network and related systems with special attention given to the health of the ICs infrastructure and the relevant Cybersecurity policies.

Responsibilities
  • Review company ICs IT Network and Security requirements from an operational and strategic perspective to determine short- and long-term requirements for the production Process Control Network.
  • Ensure that effective secure ICs infrastructure systems and associated subsystems are in place for an efficient execution of company core operational Production functions.
  • Handle all issues related to the security of the company ICs network by acting as the focal point to ensure the system availability.
  • Develop, update and maintain the Cybersecurity policy of company in line with international standards such as ISA 99/ NIA I QCERT and the Qatar ICs Cybersecurity legislation.
  • Configuration and maintenance of all ICs network components, such as firewalls, switches, intrusion protection and detection systems.
  • Establish procedures for the periodic review of the security event management systems and the proactive correction of system deviations.
  • Administer windows system activities such as user configuration, review of user privileges, system event logs and the backup and restoration of servers.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for improving ICs network security.
  • Participate in engineering, Factory Acceptance and Site Acceptance Testing of new control systems and ensure that aiiiCS network security requirements are met.
  • Ensure that all activities are undertaken in compliance with company safety, health, environment and quality policies, regulations and standards.
  • Identify and resolve potential problems escalating when necessary.
  • Attend to routine emergency cal louts outside of work hours.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills
Minimum Qualification
  • Bachelor Degree of Science preferably is in Engineering or Computer Science.
  • Professional certification in networking and security.
Minimum Experience
  • 5 - 8 years of experience in a similar role.
  • 3 years of experience in the Industrial Control Systems environment.
  • Experience in computer networking and security in the Industrial Control Systems environment.
Job Specific Skills
  • Strong knowledge of ICs network protocols including TCP/IP, MODBUS, OPC fundamentals.
  • Working experience in industrial firewalls, VPN technology, switches, DHCP, DNS, etc.
  • Strong knowledge in applying Microsoft Windows patches, updating antivirus signatures files.
  • Strong administration and troubleshooting skills on Windows operating systems for servers and Workstations.
  • Expert knowledge on network and security technology and standards.
  • Familiar with various automation systems such as DCS, PLC, etc. Experience with Foxboro IA series DCS, etc is advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of windows system administration including active directory domain controller.
