Job summary

Term Time Teachers Ltd. is recruiting an Individual Needs Assistant for a full-time role in a Specialist SEN School in Brighton. The position involves delivering 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with complex needs, helping with communication, social interaction and emotional regulation.

You will work closely with teachers to implement learning plans, routines and EHCP outcomes, fostering confidence and independence in students while maintaining a safe, nurturing environment.

Individual Needs Assistant - Full Time - Brighton

Location: Brighton & Hove, East Sussex
Hours: Full Time, Monday to Friday

Are you passionate about helping children and young people overcome barriers to learning? Do you have experience supporting individuals with additional needs, or are you looking to develop your skills within a specialist educational environment?

Academics are working with specialist SEN settings across Brighton and the surrounding areas, seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Individual Needs Assistants to support pupils with a diverse range of additional and complex needs.

This is an opportunity to become an important part of a supportive school team, helping pupils develop academically, socially and emotionally through personalised learning and consistent encouragement.

Pupils may have needs including:

• Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC/ASD)

• Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties

• ADHD and associated behavioural challenges

• Communication and interaction difficulties

• Moderate and Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD)

• Emotional regulation and sensory processing needs

• Developmental delays and complex additional needs

The role will involve:

Previous experience within an SEN, education or care environment would be beneficial, but we are also keen to hear from individuals who are looking to take their first steps into specialist education.
