Job summary

A leading motorsport team in Silverstone is seeking an experienced Indirect Buyer to manage procurement for non-car-related goods and services. The ideal candidate will have CIPS qualification and extensive experience in a fast-paced environment. Role

Indirect Buyer – Silverstone facility. Responsible for purchasing non-car related goods (indirect) and services for stakeholders across the company. We encourage challenging established thinking and sharing ideas to contribute to our shared success.

Responsibilities
  • End-to-end purchase of indirect goods and services with proactive communication to stakeholders to achieve effective procurement
  • Prepare commercial specifications for proposals and coordinate meetings between stakeholders and suppliers
  • Request quotations, negotiate value with suppliers, review proposals, and provide summary documentation to stakeholders
  • Award orders with stakeholder agreement and manage all purchase documentation including rising of POs
  • Report delivery exceptions promptly and liaise between suppliers and stakeholders to resolve supply issues
  • Assist with invoice discrepancies, ensure compliance with purchasing and finance policies, and develop knowledge of the company ERP system
Requirements
  • Must have CIPS qualification (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply)
  • Extensive procurement experience in a fast-paced industry
  • Proven strong negotiation skills and ERP experience
  • Effective communication with key stakeholders and suppliers (verbal and written)
  • Experience with MS applications including Outlook, Excel, and Teams
  • Flexible, team-focused, able to work in a high-pressure, rapidly changing environment and contribute to an open and inclusive culture
