Job summary

Smurfit Westrock Company is seeking a Digital Operator to support the daily digital print requirements of the HP Indigo press. The role focuses on artwork readiness, DFE file handling, and accurate job information to deliver high-quality outputs on schedule.

You will monitor performance, maintain traceability records, and collaborate with Operations to prioritise workloads while ensuring housekeeping and discipline in the Digital cell.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 1 HP training relevant to the HP Indigo digital press.
• Practical understanding of labels, digital print, artwork requirements, DFE file transfer and technical/originations processes.
• Ability to assess how a product has been produced and make a diagnosed assessment of the process and requirements.
• Experience of working in a high-volume, low-unit-cost manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work effectively with others in a production environment.
• Ability to communicate clearly with production colleagues and site management.

Responsibilities

• Support daily digital print requirements for the HP Indigo press.
• Maintain records of performance and day-to-day activity via shop floor data capture systems.
• Organise workload and scheduling to maximise operational performance of the Digital cell.
• Enter production requirements and job details into the shop floor data capture system.
• Ensure materials and consumables are managed to meet production needs.
• Support other areas of the business as trained and competent.
