Independent Prescriber - Substance Misuse Services

Location: Bradford

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm (37.5 hours)

Pay: £57 per hour (Umbrella)

Service Care Solutions are recruiting for an Independent Prescriber to join a specialist team delivering high-quality drug and alcohol clinical and prescribing services. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in supporting recovery within the local community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct clinical assessments and prescribe a range of medications (including controlled drugs) in line with national and organisational guidelines.
  • Prescribe cost‑effectively and provide prescribing advice to pharmacists, shared care GPs, and hospital staff.
  • Undertake service‑user‑centred assessments, care planning, monitoring, evaluation, and reviews in both practice and outreach settings.
  • Manage Blood Borne Virus (BBV) care, including risk assessment, counselling, testing, and immunisation.
Requirements
  • Qualified Independent Prescriber with relevant experience in substance misuse.
  • Strong understanding of clinical guidelines and best prescribing practices.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
