Job summary

Zest Optical in Consett, County Durham, is recruiting a full-time Optometrist to join a busy independent practice renowned for high-quality patient care. The role offers 9:00am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday and 9:00am to 4:00pm on Saturdays with some flexibility, testing rooms equipped with OCT, fundus camera and phoropter, and close collaboration with the Dispensing Optician.

GOC registration is required, and applicants should have excellent communication and patient-focused approach to maintain

Qualifications

• GOC registered Optometrist to practice in the UK.
• Fully qualified Optometrist with a focus on delivering outstanding patient care.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Clinically focused with a patient-first approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient eye care and assessments.
• Collaborate with the dispensing optician and support staff to ensure a seamless patient journey.
• Utilise OCT, fundus camera and phoropter to support examinations and outcomes.
• Explore opportunities to provide enhanced services and maintain clinical excellence.
