Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth analysis and regular review meetings to understand client finances.
  • Deliver bespoke financial planning solutions covering pensions, investments, savings, insurance, protection, and tax planning.
  • Research and evaluate a wide range of financial products and providers for suitable recommendations.
  • Prepare and present suitability reports and associated documentation for client approval.
  • Proactively generate new business opportunities and network to grow the client base.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulations.
  • Work closely with Paraplanners and administrators for a seamless client journey.
  • Stay up-to-date with market trends and ongoing professional development.

Summary

Our client is looking to appoint an experienced and qualified IFA to manage a portfolio of clients within their Inverness Office. This excellent career opportunity would suit an experienced IFA as well as an individual with relevant sector experience, seeking to take on additional responsibility. Self employed or Employed options are available with a substantial basic and bonus structure taking on target earnings to £80,000 - £100,000

Duties
  • Client Management: Conduct in-depth analysis and regular review meetings to understand client finances, goals, and risk.
  • Financial Planning and Advice: Deliver bespoke financial planning solutions covering pensions, investments, savings, insurance, protection, and tax planning.
  • Research and Analysis: Research and evaluate a wide range of financial products and providers to formulate suitable recommendations.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and present suitability reports and associated documentation for client approval.
  • New Business Development: Proactively generate new business opportunities and network to grow the client base.
  • Compliance and Regulation: Ensure all activities and client records (physical and CRM) comply with internal policies, Anti-Money Laundering (AML), GDPR, and FCA regulations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Paraplanners and IFA Administrators to ensure a seamless client journey and efficient case progression.
  • Continuous Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with market trends, new products, law changes, and ongoing professional development (CPD).
Qualifications and Experience
  • Essential Qualification: Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning (DipFA or equivalent) is required, along with a current Statement of Professional Standing (SPS) and Competent Adviser Status (CAS).
  • Experience: A minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience in a financial advice or related financial services role is required.
  • Skills: Excellent communication (verbal and written), attention to detail, analytical, problem-solving, and strong IT skills are essential.
