Our client is seeking an experienced and influential leader to serve as Independent Chair of a well-established national governing organisation with both professional teams and community participation. The successful candidate will lead a Board of Non-Executive Directors and work closely with members of the executive team to provide strategic direction, independent challenge, and strong governance oversight.

Acting as an ambassador for the organisation, the Chair will ensure transparency, accountability and effective decision-making, fostering a culture of integrity and collaborative leadership. This role requires a respected figure who can constructively support and challenge the Board, strengthen governance, and guide the organisation’s long-term strategic direction.

We are seeking professionals who can bring:

  • Board-level leadership as a Chair, NED or senior executive

  • Strong governance understanding and sound strategic judgement

  • awareness, diplomacy and ambassadorial capability

  • The ability to build influential relationships with diverse stakeholders
