Job summary

Canterbury Diocese limited is seeking an Income Entry Assistant to join the Finance & Giving Team in Canterbury. You will accurately process and allocate income, post daily receipts, and produce monthly reports to maintain audit-ready records supporting parishes, clergy, and the Social Justice Network.

You should have finance experience, a solid grasp of debits/credits, and be proficient with Excel and Microsoft Access.

Qualifications

• Experience in a finance department.
• Solid understanding of debits, credits and basic accounting principles.
• Confident using Excel and databases such as Microsoft Access.
• Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and external stakeholders.
• Highly organised and proactive.

Responsibilities

• Post daily bank receipts and allocate income transactions.
• Produce monthly financial reports and support credit control.
• Manage fee collection from parishes and debtor reconciliation.
