Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting Inclusion Support Assistants to work across a range of welcoming and inclusive Primary Schools. You will provide tailored support to pupils with additional needs, helping them access learning activities and participate in the classroom.

You will work 1:1 or in small groups, promoting positive behaviour, confidence and independence, while collaborating with teachers and SENDCOs to adapt activities and create a safe, inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people in educational or childcare settings.
• Ability to support pupils with a range of learning, social and emotional needs.
• Commitment to inclusion and creating an inclusive learning environment.
• Willingness to obtain Enhanced DBS if not already held (Update Service).

Responsibilities

About the Role

As an Inclusion Support Assistant, you will:

• Provide tailored support to pupils with a range of additional learning needs.
• Support children on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
• Help pupils access learning activities and engage in the classroom.
• Promote positive behaviour, confidence and independence.
• Support pupils with SEND, SEMH, Autism, ADHD and communication needs.
• Work closely with teachers, SENDCOs and external professionals.
• Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs and abilities.
• Help create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.

About You

We're looking for candidates who:

• Have experience working with children or young people in an educational, childcare or support setting.
• Are passionate about inclusion and supporting children with additional needs.
• Have strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Are patient, resilient and adaptable.
• Can support pupils with a range of learning, social and emotional needs.
• Work effectively as part of a wider school team.
• Hold, or are willing to apply for, an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
