Job summary

Hangleton Primary School (and Benfield Primary School) seeks a highly motivated teacher to help set up and run an inclusive space supporting children with complex needs across both sites. The role offers opportunities to shape provision and to work closely with the SENCO/SLT and teaching staff.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a teacher in a primary school.
• Experience working with children with SEND and complex needs is desirable.
• Ability to train and lead support staff (TAs) and collaborate with senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Support setting up and running an Inclusion Intervention space across Hangleton and Benfield Primary Schools.
• Lead, plan and facilitate the intervention for identified pupils on the SEND register.
• Collaborate with the SENCO/SLT and class teachers to support all children’s potential.
• Work with and lead Teaching Assistants within the intervention space and train staff.
• Coordinate with external agencies and parents/carers; adapt provision as needed.

We have an exciting opportunity for a teacher with school experience to support us setting up & running an inclusive space to support our children with complex needs, across both Hangleton & Benfield Primary School

We are looking for a highly motivated candidate to join our school community who will:

• Work alongside the SENCO/SLT to establish an Inclusion Intervention space in our school.
• To effectively lead, plan and facilitate the intervention for identified pupils on the SEND register.
• Help all children reach their full potential in school working in collaboration with class teachers.
• To work alongside and lead TAs within the intervention space including staff training.
• Work effectively with external agencies & parents/carers
• Have a flexible approach to provision

This role will be split across Hangleton & Benfield Primary school,

Hangleton is a two form entry primary school in Hove and Benfield is a one form entry school on the outskirts of Hove. . We offer a friendly working environment .We have many links with the local community and are well supported by a strong governing body.
