Job description

The Cherwell School are seeking to appoint a motivated Support Assistant to work within the school’s Inclusion Base. The Inclusion Base supports vulnerable students in a positive and nurturing learning environment, as well as helping students address behavioural issues as appropriate. As such, this post presents a range of opportunities to work with young people at different stages of their school career. Some of this work involves supporting students to complete GCSE revision and coursework, so an understanding of literacy and mathematical requirements at this level is essential. The successful candidate should enjoy working with young people, have a flexible and positive approach and be able to work as part of a team..

About our school

We are a high performing and oversubscribed comprehensive school in Oxford with approximately 2,000 students on roll, including 680 in the Sixth Form. We are delighted that we were judged ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted (October 2022), as we feel this is a fair reflection of the school, not least as we recognize that we have the capacity to develop and improve further.
