Responsibilities

The role

As an Incident Responder, you’ll be at the forefront of protecting people, assets and operations. This is a dynamic and high-impact role where your actions directly contribute to national security and public safety. You’ll respond to medical, fire and safety incidents, manage site security, and ensure operational integrity through proactive patrols and emergency response.

Day-to-day you’ll be:
  • Conducting foot and vehicle patrols, perimeter checks, and building inspections
  • Operating control room systems, monitoring CCTV, and responding to emergency calls
  • Managing access control, vehicle searches, and key registers at the main gate
  • Supporting emergency response, including initial command duties and coordination with emergency services
  • Maintaining fitness, completing training exercises, and upholding safety and compliance standards

Please note that the successful candidate will be required to pass a targeted medical questionnaire and/or medical examination as a condition of employment for this role.

The role is based onsite at Capenhurst, and the set working times are 4 on 4 off (2 days, 2 nights – 12-hour shifts), totalling 42 hours per week.

Essential experience of the Incident Responder
  • Previous experience in Military, Police, Fire Service or Security
  • Good standard of health and fitness
  • Flexibility to adapt to normal and emergency shift patterns
  • Conflict management and incident response experience
  • Strong report writing and intelligence handling skills
Qualifications for the Incident Responder
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Security Industry Authority Accredited (SIA) is desirable

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
