Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking an In-Store Cleaning Manager to lead a dynamic cleaning team. You will oversee daily cleaning duties across floors and washrooms, manage rotas and recruitment, and conduct regular site audits to maintain high standards.

Qualifications

• You must have right to work in the UK.
• Experience as a Manager or Supervisor in cleaning or similar field is desirable.
• Experience in staffing, rotas, training and basic HR compliance is desirable.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Able to work to deadlines and prioritise; flexible with hours and days.

Responsibilities

• Manage staff rotas, holidays, absence and recruitment support.
• Complete weekly site audits and document actions.
• Identify training needs; conduct coaching and record training on-site (Health & Safety).
• Adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Assist Area Manager with investigations into incidents or performance matters.
• Monitor cleaning products, stock levels and place orders within budget.
• Use digital tools for time and attendance, absences and payslips; ensure access to required apps.

About The Role:

Shift Pattern: Monday to Saturday 0600am to 1200pm

We’re recruiting for an In-Store Cleaning Manager to join our passionate and driven Cleaning team.

You’ll oversee all cleaning and associated duties carried out by your team ensuring that a high standard is consistently delivered.

Key responsibilities:

• Overseeing and assisting with the cleaning of the floors, communal areas, stairwells, and washrooms (plus other ad hoc areas).
• Managing staff rotas, holiday requests, absence management, informal performance management and supporting with recruitment of new employees where/when required.
• Complete site audits on a weekly basis ensuring any required actions are documented and completed as quickly as possible
• Identify any training needs on-site, conduct the coaching/training, including Health & Safety and keep appropriate records of training completed on-site.
• Adherence to company policies and procedures
• Supporting the Area Manager with investigation matters such as personal accidents or potential formal performance management.
• Responsibility for monitoring cleaning products on-site, maintaining stock levels and submitting orders as required in line with agreed site budgets.
• Digital Access Requirements: This role involves using digital tools to manage working hours (time and attendance), absences, and payslips. Applicants should have access to a smart phone device capable of downloading work-related applications (such as Timegate+) and an email address for communication and portal access. If you do not currently have access to these, support or reasonable adjustments can be provided to ensure you can meet these requirements.

The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria:

• You must have right to work in the UK.
• Previous experience as a Manager or Supervisor in cl eaning or a similar field is desirable
• Experience in staffing, rotas, training, and basic HR compliance is desirable
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Able to work to deadlines and prioritise as well as being flexible with working hours and da ys.
