Job summary

BLT is seeking an experienced VAT Manager to lead indirect tax compliance and advisory activities across a technically complex UK business. This high-visibility role demands strong technical VAT expertise and excellent stakeholder management across multiple functions.

Qualifications

• CTA or equivalent VAT qualification preferred.
• In-house or professional services VAT experience at manager level.
• Ability to translate VAT issues into practical business solutions and engage stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Technical review of UK and Irish VAT returns.
• Preparation of VAT returns and monitoring procedure changes.
• Manage VAT queries and provide commercially aware VAT advice.
• VAT SME for projects across the business and provide training on VAT to teams.
• Maintain good relationships with HMRC and external advisors with Head of Tax.
• Support wider tax compliance work as required.
• Collaborate across functions to implement VAT solutions.
