Job summary

Persimmon Homes in Exeter is seeking an In-House Solicitor to head the Legal Land Team. The role reports to the Group Solicitor and concentrates on property and land matters across the business, with a focus on affordable housing.

The successful candidate will manage the Land team’s day-to-day activities, travel between regional offices as required, and provide expert advice on planning, infrastructure and disposal matters.

Qualifications

• Must be a solicitor or fully qualified legal executive.
• Experience in affordable housing or land matters is beneficial.
• Previous house builder experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Dealing with day-to-day management of the Legal Land team in Exeter.
• Developing relationships between regional offices and travel between offices as needed.
• Work will be predominantly property-focused, specialising in affordable housing and land matters, with some planning and infrastructure work and disposal support.
