Key responsibilities
  • Supporting the Secretary to the Trustee in the governance and operations of the legacy DB scheme.
  • Managing day-to-day operations of EY's UK and ROI staff DC pension arrangements.
  • Overseeing EY's Life Assurance benefits, including annual renewals, market reviews, and claims processes.
  • Acting as Risk Officer to the Trustee, maintaining the risk management framework, Risk Register, and business continuity protocols.
  • Leading on regulatory and legislative compliance for both EY as sponsor and the Trustee, working closely with EY's Quality & Risk Management team and external advisers.
  • Supporting budget planning and monitoring across the pensions function.
  • Leading and delivering pensions-related projects and initiatives.

We're seeking someone who combines technical pensions expertise with strong governance, risk, and stakeholder management skills.

Required qualifications
  • Established experience in pensions, ideally from a consultancy or in-house environment.
  • Deep knowledge of DB and DC schemes, including trust-based arrangements.
  • Strong understanding of UK pensions legislation and regulatory frameworks.
  • Proven experience managing pensions governance, operations and change projects.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage confidently at all levels.
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively across teams and functions.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive, delivery-focused approach.

At EY, we're building a better working world. Our pensions team plays a critical role in supporting our people with their retirement planning. You'll join a collaborative, values-driven environment where your expertise will be recognised, and your impact will be felt.
