Job summary

A well-established organisation is seeking an In-House Mechanical Engineer to support critical operations at a large facility in Hatfield. The role involves delivering maintenance of mechanical services ensuring operational reliability across warehouse and distribution functions. Qualifications

  • Solid experience working with mechanical building services systems.
  • Background in critical, industrial, warehouse, healthcare, or commercial environments.
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across all mechanical building services.
  • Maintain and fault-find systems including HVAC plant, pumps, pipework, valves, and domestic water systems.
  • Support critical infrastructure to ensure operational continuity across warehouse and distribution functions.
  • Ensure all works comply with health and safety legislation.
  • Maintain accurate logbooks, reports, and maintenance documentation.
