Job summary

A regulatory body for dental professionals is seeking a Lawyer to manage significant caseloads in the In-house Legal Services Team. Qualifications

  • Must be a practising solicitor, barrister, CILEX qualified lawyer or foreign qualified equivalent.
  • Experience in conducting fitness to practice cases.
  • Significant healthcare regulation experience.
  • Working knowledge of civil and criminal court litigation principles and procedures.
  • Experience handling high-volume, high complexity caseloads.
  • Excellent legal drafting, evidential analysis, and legal research skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a substantial caseload of fitness to practice cases and associated Court proceedings.
  • Draft detailed case plans and estimate resources needed for hearings.
  • Supervise and conduct witness interviews and statement drafting.
  • Instruct and liaise with Counsel and experts for case preparation.
  • Prepare case papers and ensure hearing arrangements are in place.
  • Manage communications and work effectively with stakeholders.
  • Supervise junior team members and support their development.
  • Participate in team project work and training.
