Description

International services group seeks to recruit a commercial lawyer to work as part of a close-knit and friendly legal team to support the business on broad based commercial legal matters within the UK. You will work in a fast-paced environment where you will take responsibility for your own internal clients handling complex contract drafting and negotiation with clients and suppliers.

Responsibilities
  • You will be a key contact for various divisions within the business offering support to a range of functions including Finance, IT, Sales, Marketing, Health & Safety and Pensions
  • Working on large transactions with clients across both public and private sector
  • Draft and negotiate complex commercial contracts including supply of goods and services, outsourcing, procurement and technology
  • You may advise on regulatory compliance in GDPR, anti-bribery and corruption and IP
  • Provide legal updates and internal training
We are looking for
  • Qualified solicitor in England and Wales ideally with 3 years PQE but candidates with at least 12 months experience in commercial contracts will be considered
  • You may be working as a company commercial, corporate, commercial property or in another commercial legal area but key is your ability to draft, negotiate and advise on commercial agreements
  • Trained with a well-regarded law firm or in-house
  • Experience in outsourcing would be desirable but not essentialPrevious experience working in-house an advantage
  • Committed, driven and able to work autonomously as well as part of a collaborative team
  • Strong interpersonal skills, a self-starter who is clear and concise, friendly and approachable
