Job Description

The In-house Banking Solicitor will be:

• Advising on consumer banking operational matters and regulatory compliance
• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating agreements, policies and procedures
• Supporting project workstreams (e.g. product changes, system implementations)
• Liaising with internal stakeholders (operations, risk, compliance, business units)
• Escalating and managing legal risk, ensuring controls and escalation paths

The Successful Applicant

The In-house Banking Solicitor should be:

• A solicitor (or equivalent) with 1-3 PQE in banking/financial services
• Experience in consumer or retail banking operations, products or regulation
• Strong drafting, negotiation and analytical skills
• Comfortable working cross‑functionally and in project settings
• A proactive communicator with excellent stakeholder management
