Job Title: International Logistics Manager: Import and Export

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Location: Ledbury, In Person

Salary: GBP 50,000 to 55,000, dependent on experience

Hawk 3 Talent Solutions is proud to be supporting a leading UK-based food manufacturer in their search for an experienced International Logistics Manager: Import and Export. To be successful in the role, the individual will need to be a proactive leader and be able to demonstrate experience in managing KPIs for third-party logistics providers, overseeing 3PL operations, and navigating the complexities of international goods transportation. Prior experience in managing the entire logistics solution for key customers is essential.

Key Roles And Responsibilities
  • Working with directors, manage budgets by monitoring and tracking expenditures effectively.
  • Procure and onboard new service providers as needed to optimise operations.
  • Oversee 3PL provider KPIs, conducting regular meetings to ensure satisfactory performance.
  • Maintain inventory to meet demand while working with Finance to balance cash flow.
  • Handle logistics sections within complex customer tender documentation with precision.
  • Have a clear understanding of our products from packaging to palletisation.
  • Place purchase orders with suppliers and oversee shipment process through to delivery.
  • Establish a structured KPI framework and training system for the logistics team.
  • Communicate with international clients who collect goods from our EU-based sister company.
  • Work with other departments to coordinate global material requirements for both sites.
  • Maintain a proactive approach to compliance of international customs requirements.
  • Arrange transport and documentation of goods delivered globally to international clients.
  • Track and monitor clearance performance at UK and EU ports, minimising risk of financial penalty.
  • Line management responsibilities for the logistics team
  • Manage internal communication platforms, ensuring all data is up-to-date and easily accessible.
Experience/Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years management experience working in logistics with full supply chain knowledge.
  • Strong skills in leadership, communication, problem solving and strategic thinking is preferred.
  • Degree level in logistics, supply chain management or business is advantageous, however having strong experience in a similar role is also acceptable.
  • Having worked in the food industry would be advantageous but not essential.
  • All applicants must be eligible to work in the UK without the need for sponsorship.
Remuneration
  • Salary: GBP 50,000 to 55,000 plus discretionary bonus, depending on experience.
  • Holiday: 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays.
