Mirai Talent in the UK is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead finance transformation and systems integration initiatives. You will drive end-to-end technology implementations and integrations across finance processes, working with Finance, IT, and external vendors to embed new platforms.

The role is hands-on with emphasis on APIs, data flows and cross-functional collaboration, coordinating multi-site teams and ensuring successful go-lives and business readiness.

IT Project Manager | Finance Transformation & Systems Integration

Contract | Up to £600 per day | Inside IR35 | Midlands / UK Travel

We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established brand with a network of sites across the UK, embarking on a major business and technology transformation programme, with a significant focus on finance transformation, systems modernisation and integration.

This is a hands-on IT Project Manager role, responsible for driving the end-to-end delivery of technology implementations and integrations that will support the transformation of core finance processes, systems and operations.

You’ll work closely with Finance, IT, external vendors and the wider transformation programme to ensure new systems are successfully implemented, integrated and embedded across the business.

The Role

The technology landscape spans multiple system implementations, including bespoke and off-the-shelf platforms, with a strong emphasis on APIs, data flows and the integration of finance systems with the wider business technology estate.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading the end-to-end delivery of IT projects supporting finance transformation, from planning and implementation through to integration, testing and go-live.
• Managing the implementation and integration of finance platforms, ensuring alignment with wider business systems and operational requirements.
• Overseeing API integrations, system interfaces and data flows, working closely with technical architects, developers and third-party vendors.
• Coordinating delivery across Finance, IT, external suppliers and other transformation workstreams, managing competing priorities and dependencies.
• Driving project governance, budgets, timelines, risks and stakeholder communications to ensure successful delivery.
• Supporting data migration, system testing, UAT and business readiness activities.
• Ensuring a smooth transition from implementation into business-as-usual operations.

What We’re Looking For

• An experienced IT Project Manager with a strong track record of delivering finance transformation and systems integration projects.
• Experience implementing or integrating finance systems, ERP platforms or financial applications within complex business environments.
• Strong technical understanding of systems integration, APIs, data migration and the challenges of connecting multiple platforms.
• Experience managing third-party technology vendors and working across technical and business-facing teams.
• Confidence engaging with Finance stakeholders while maintaining ownership of technical project delivery.
• Excellent project governance, stakeholder management and delivery skills.
• Experience working within multi-site, leisure, hospitality, retail or similarly complex operational businesses would be advantageous.

This is fundamentally an IT Project Management role, rather than a finance process or business change position. We're looking for someone who understands the technology behind finance transformation and can confidently lead complex system implementations and integrations.

• Day rate: Up to £600 per day, inside IR35
• Location: Midlands-based preferred, with nationwide travel and occasional overnight stays
• Contract: Initial rolling three-month contracts, with potential for a longer-term engagement of up to three years
• Start: ASAP
