Job summary

InterAct is seeking an experienced Trusts & Grants Fundraiser to secure sustainable income for SEND services and future growth across Mid and North Essex. You will research opportunities, write persuasive applications and maintain a strong funding pipeline with effective reporting.

Reporting to the CEO, you will gather evidence, manage deadlines and ensure compliance while supporting young people aged 8–25 to build confidence and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Experience in identifying suitable funding opportunities and securing grants from trusts, foundations, statutory bodies or other funders.
• Excellent and persuasive writing with strong attention to detail.
• Sound organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities independently.
• Experience in charity/voluntary/ SEND or youth sectors would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Research trusts, foundations, statutory funders and other grant-making bodies.
• Develop clear, compelling applications aligned with InterAct’s priorities.
• Manage multiple opportunities, deadlines and reporting requirements.
• Work with colleagues to gather evidence, data and supporting information.
• Maintain an accurate funding calendar and keep the CEO informed of progress.
• Ensure fundraising activity meets legal, regulatory and best-practice requirements.
