Job summary

Amazon offers SDE internships where you’ll work on solving real customer problems using modern technology. Interns own the full lifecycle of their code, from design to deployment, in a fast-paced environment with mentorship and a culture of learning.

Internships are full-time, in-office, Monday-Friday, up to 40 hours per week, with team norms set by your manager. A minimum of one semester/trimester remaining in studies after the internship is required.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields at time of application
• Familiarity with CS fundamentals: OOD, OS, algorithms, data structures, complexity analysis
• Experience with at least one general-purpose programming language such as Java, Python, C++, C#, Go, Rust, or TypeScript

Responsibilities

• Collaborate and communicate with cross-disciplinary Amazonians to design, build, and operate innovative products and services
• Break down complex, ambiguous problems into solvable components
• Contribute to design and development of scalable, reliable services
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback
• Document technical work clearly and accurately
• Use AI-assisted development tools and validate AI-generated code
• Write clean, maintainable code following best practices
• Work in an agile CI/CD environment with on-call responsibilities
• Demonstrate operational excellence through monitoring and troubleshooting production issues
