Job summary

Marchant Recruitment is partnering with a welcoming primary school in Beverley seeking an experienced School Business Manager. The role is full-time, temporary, with hours 8:30am–4:30pm and a daily rate of £200–£250, with a paid trial day included.

You’ll lead financial, HR, procurement, and premises functions to support staff and pupils. Working closely with the Headteacher and leadership team, you’ll drive efficiency, ensure compliance, and manage budgets and contracts in a busy educational

Qualifications

Strong financial, budgeting and organisational skills.
Excellent communication skills with staff and stakeholders.
Experience in HR administration and payroll processes is desirable.
Enhanced DBS via Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

Overseeing budgets, expenditure, financial records and reporting.
Ensuring business and administrative operations run efficiently.
Assisting with staff records, payroll processes, recruitment and HR administration.
Supporting health and safety, facilities management and statutory requirements.
Managing suppliers, purchasing and external service providers.
Collaborating with senior leaders to improve efficiency and school operations.
