Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 4 Pharmacy Technician for Pendleview, our specialist mental health inpatient unit at Royal Blackburn Hospital. You will support medicines management and work within a multidisciplinary team to provide high‑quality pharmaceutical care.

You will have BTEC/NVQ 3 in Pharmacy with GPhC registration and a commitment to ongoing professional development. Travel to other Trust sites may be required.

Qualifications

• BTEC Certificate in Pharmaceutical Sciences or NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) is required.
• Current registration with GPhC is mandatory.
• Commitment to continuing professional development is expected.

Responsabilités

• Support medicines management across the inpatient unit as part of the MDT.
• Assist with preparation, dispensing and supply of medicines to patients and wards under supervision.
• Participate in medicines reconciliation, optimisation, discharge facilitation, and audits.
• Support medicines supply processes and use of the Trust's electronic prescribing system.
• Contribute to audits and maintain compliance with medicines legislation and standards.
• Act as a key member of ward and pharmacy teams and drive safety improvements.
