Job summary

Belmont Recruitment are seeking an experienced Independent Domestic Violence Advisor to work in the Tower Hamlets area of London on a 2-month contract with a charity. You will support survivors of domestic and sexual abuse, conduct risk assessments, and liaise with multi-agency partners to improve safety and access to services.

You will be a compassionate, proactive practitioner with trauma-informed approach, managing a busy caseload and contributing to monitoring and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience undertaking risk assessments, safety planning and risk management.
• Excellent communication, organisational and crisis management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist support to survivors of domestic and sexual abuse.
• Carry out comprehensive risk and needs assessments, safety planning and ongoing risk management.
• Manage a caseload of survivors, providing tailored, trauma-informed support and intervention.
• Advise and guide external professionals on domestic abuse, risk indicators, referral pathways and best practice.
• Support survivors to improve their financial security and access employment, education and wider support services.
• Advocate for survivors at multi-agency meetings, including MARAC, and liaise with housing, criminal justice and other relevant services.
• Maintain accurate, confidential case records and contribute to service monitoring, outcome reporting and performance targets.
