Job summary

Academics is seeking an experienced EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant for a full-time, temporary role in Epping, Essex. The position starts ASAP and runs until Easter, with pay 92–120 per day.

You will assist in Early Years and SEN settings, supporting learning, routines and social development, while working closely with the class teacher.

Applicants should have EYFS knowledge, SEN experience and an Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply); Academics provides consultant support throughout.

Qualifications

• Experience in both Early Years and SEN settings.
• Understanding of EYFS learning and development.
• Enhanced DBS, or willingness to apply.

Responsibilities

• Support children within an EYFS classroom.
• Provide one-to-one and small-group SEN support.
• Assist with learning activities, play and classroom routines.
• Encourage communication, confidence and independence.
• Support children's emotional and social development.
• Adapt activities to meet individual needs.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff.
• Promote a calm, inclusive and stimulating environment.
• Follow safeguarding and child protection procedures.
