Job summary

East Sussex College Group is seeking a temporary WBL Early Years Assessor to support learners on work-based learning programmes within the Childcare and Early Years sector. You will assess, plan, provide feedback and monitor progress, working with learners, employers and staff to ensure high-quality progress and successful End Point Assessments.

The role requires experience as an assessor with strong EY sector knowledge, and adherence to safeguarding and college policies.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an assessor in WBL/EY
• Strong understanding of work-based learning in Early Years
• Ability to plan, conduct and document workplace assessments
• Commitment to safeguarding and college policies

Responsibilities

• Assess and support learners working toward Early Years qualifications.
• Plan and carry out workplace or college-based assessments.
• Provide constructive feedback to help learners achieve requirements.
• Monitor progress and address barriers to achievement.
• Maintain accurate learner records and evidence.
• Collaborate with employers and workplace supervisors.
• Ensure assessments meet awarding organisations and college requirements.
• Participate in standardisation, quality assurance and team meetings.
