Job summary

A leading healthcare provider in Scotland is seeking a Clinical Psychologist dedicated to providing and developing services for older people. The role requires a good Honours degree in psychology and registration with the Health Professions Council. Responsibilities include maintaining mandatory training and contributing to service development. This is a permanent full-time position, based in Motherwell, with generous holiday and sick leave benefits.

Qualifications

  • Registered with the Health Professions Council as a Clinical Psychologist.
  • Good Honours degree in psychology (2.1 or above).
  • Post qualification experience (or equivalent) of supervised clinical practice.

Responsibilities

  • Provide and develop Clinical Psychology services for older people.
  • Contribute to the provision and development of Clinical Psychology services.
  • Maintenance of mandatory training requirements set by NHS Lanarkshire.

Skills

Experience of working with older people
Post qualification training in clinical supervision
Knowledge of functional mental health issues in later life
Ability to organise own workload/work autonomously
A working knowledge of other mental health professions

Education

Good Honours degree in psychology (2.1 or above)
Post graduate doctorate in Clinical Psychology
Registered with the Health Professions Council as a Clinical Psychologist
