Job summary

Oxfordshire County Council's Children s Assessment Service is recruiting a qualified social worker to join a duty rotation handling assessments referred by the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub. You will lead Section 47 child protection investigations where needed, with support from experienced managers.

You will deliver thoughtful, evidence-based assessments focused on the wishes and needs of children and families, and contribute to developing clear plans of intervention to safeguard and promote

Qualifications

• Qualified social worker with current Social Work England registration.
• Completed ASYE (or equivalent).
• Experience of working with children and families in a statutory setting.
• Commitment to respectful, proportionate and evidence-based assessments focusing on children's voices.

Responsibilities

• Lead Section 47 child protection investigations where necessary.
• Be part of a duty rotation handling assessments referred by the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub.
• Deliver thoughtful, evidence-based assessments and develop intervention plans to safeguard children.
