Job summary

Leicester City Council in Leicester is seeking a qualified Social Worker to join our Children in Need Team on a full-time, permanent basis. The role supports children and families with a hybrid working model between home and City offices, handling Child in Need and Child Protection work to achieve lasting positive outcomes.

You must be living and practising in the UK, with 2–3 years' experience for Level 2/3, and be registered with Social Work England.

Qualifications

• CQSW, DipSW or equivalent recognised qualification.
• Registered with Social Work England.
• 2–3 years qualified experience for a Level 2 or Level 3 role.
• Passionate about promoting positive outcomes for children and families.

Responsibilities

• Undertake assessments and coordinate multi-agency support.
• Lead plans to keep children safe and thriving.
• Chair and attend professional meetings, ensuring children's voices.
• Use Signs of Safety approach in direct work.
