Job summary

Opencast seeks a Bid Writer on a 12-month fixed-term contract to develop high-quality responses for government and business clients, showcasing our credentials and delivery experience.

You will write persuasive tender responses, develop storyboards, ensure alignment with evaluation criteria, and contribute to continuous improvement activities. You’ll work with colleagues across Opencast and partner organisations to win more bids.

Qualifications

• Bid-writing experience, ideally within a technology consultancy.
• Knowledge of technology consultancy services, delivery methods and technologies.
• Experience responding to government frameworks, including DOS or similar public sector opportunities.
• Experience working collaboratively to identify win themes and differentiators.
• Experience developing storyboards and structured answer plans.
• Experience analysing evaluation criteria and improving bid responses.
• Ability to manage multiple bids and competing deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Writing clear, persuasive, and compliant tender responses which articulate win themes, differentiators, and unique selling points
• Supporting the development of bid storyboards and response structures.
• Ensuring responses address evaluation criteria and scoring requirements.
• Applying best-practice bid writing techniques to improve quality and competitiveness. Support bid reviews and incorporate feedback from reviewers and stakeholders.
• Maintaining bid content and reusable knowledge assets.
