Sanctuary Personnel is seeking a Band 6 Substance Misuse Practitioner for a full-time, permanent position in Guernsey, UK. The role focuses on delivering high-quality care to individuals with substance misuse issues within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Professional registration (RGN/RMN) or social work qualification with CPD at Diploma level.
• Experience in multi-disciplinary settings, with supervision experience.
• Advanced knowledge and skills in substance misuse and mental health.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain specialist skills for clients with substance misuse.
• Undertake in-house annual mandatory training including manual handling, basic life support, fire safety, safeguarding (children and adults), and AED training.
• Mentor trainees and students, assess competency, and write placement reports.
• Participate in the induction process for new staff members.
• Attend mandatory training events and CPD activities to maintain professional registration.
• Demonstrate active participation in staff meetings and professional development sessions.
• Undertake clinical audits and apply evidence-based practice to ensure high-quality care.
• Safeguard and promote the welfare of children and adults, ensuring health and wellbeing are prioritised.
