Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking engineers to design, develop, and deploy AI-enabled software solutions for government and industrial sectors. You will work across front-end and back-end technologies, building scalable systems with microservices and cloud platforms.

You will collaborate with stakeholders, mentor junior engineers, and own problems end-to-end to deliver value across client workflows. A strong foundation in software design and data structures will be essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of experience and an appetite for working directly with the customer to develop the software spec and build from zero
• Experience with front-end and back-end technologies, microservices, and cloud platforms
• Experience with modern web tooling such as React, Typescript, RESTful APIs, and database management systems
• Exhibit excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a proactive approach to challenges
• Enjoys working collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Thrive in fast-paced environments where priorities or deadlines may compete
• Eager to own problems end-to-end and willing to acquire any necessary knowledge to get the job done
• Nice to Have: Experience in client-facing roles (Forward-Deployed Engineer, Solutions Engineer, Integration Engineer, Sales Engineer, Customer Engineer)
• Possess a strong foundation in software design principles, data structures, and algorithms
• Hold a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy advanced software solutions that apply AI to real-world problems
• Interact with customer stakeholders to tailor software specs and build from zero
• Build scalable data pipelines and cloud-enabled services for production
• Mentor junior engineers and promote high-quality engineering practices
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful AI-powered solutions
