Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment LTD. are seeking an experienced Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant to support a Year 4 pupil with significant behavioural challenges.

The role focuses on de-escalation techniques, collaborative planning with teaching staff, and maintaining pupil engagement in learning. The ideal candidate will have SEND experience, Team-Teach training or willingness to train, and a calm, proactive approach to behaviour management, with a commitment to the pupil's emotional and academic

Qualifications

• Experience supporting students with challenging behaviour and SEND.
• Team-Teach trained or willingness to undertake training.
• Calm, patient, proactive approach to behaviour management.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to emotional and academic development of students.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support for a Year 4 pupil with significant behavioural challenges.
• Implement strategies to manage and de-escalate challenging behaviour.
• Collaborate with the class teacher and other professionals to create an individualised support plan.
• Assist with academic work to keep the pupil engaged and supported.
• Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
• Record and report on pupil progress, behaviours, and interventions.
