A charitable organization promoting cinema is seeking an Impact Producer for the South West, focusing on local marketing and outreach to engage audiences. The ideal candidate should have a passion for film, experience in promoting cultural events, and a regional network in Plymouth, Exeter, and Bristol. This freelance role is part-time with flexible hours, requiring attendance at events and community-building activities.
Salary: £170 if engaged in outreach only, £500 if helping produce an event
The successful candidate will work with us on our mission to champion marginalised perspectives in cinema, connecting with audiences through community-building events and conversation.
We work with Impact Producers across the UK to decentralise the curation of Reclaim The Frame, in recognition that impactful connections and outreach is best achieved through local relationships and lived experiences in the areas and cities we work in.
The role of each Impact Producer is to creatively input and effectively deliver local marketing and outreach activity and events in your nation/region as part of our audience-facing project in support of our aim to champion support films by filmmakers of marginalised genders, and build a community for those who make, show, release and watch them.
In addition to a team of regional Impact Producers based in Wales, Northern Ireland, Scotland, the Midlands, South East, North West and Yorkshire we’re looking to recruit an Impact Producer for the South West, primarily to work with our partner venues Plymouth Arts Cinema, Exeter Phoenix and Watershed.
We understand that you may not have strong experience in all these areas but would nevertheless urge you to apply if you believe you have the capability and interest in rapidly building those missing skills to deliver on this role. We are seeking someone with experience around film and/or cultural activism, who can bring their unique perspective to the work of the charity.
The form will ask you to upload your CV/bio/LinkedIn, and a cover letter (400 words) or video/audio recording (4 mins max), setting out what attracts you to the role, your skills, and outlining the professional and lived experience you would bring in reference to the key responsibilities and person specification above.
In addition, please complete our anonymous equal opportunities monitoring form, which will not be shared with anyone involved in the recruitment process.
