Job summary

UKRI - UK Research and Innovation in Swindon (Hybrid) seeks an Impact Manager to lead the evaluation and monitoring of the IS-8 portfolio. You will coordinate with the Evaluation & Analysis Team to design and deliver monitoring activities, ensuring evidence informs strategic decisions and demonstrates value across the portfolio.

The role emphasizes developing impact plans, collecting case studies, and producing high-quality insights for senior leaders and UKRI stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing research evaluation and benefits, or continuous improvement.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail for outcomes.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Understanding of the UK research funding ecosystem.
• Ability to present evidence and actionable insights for senior decision makers.

Responsibilities

• Lead monitoring and evaluation of progress, outcomes and reach of funding.
• Develop and implement an impact framework using mixed methods evidence.
• Engage with stakeholders to gather evidence and case studies for senior leaders.
• Compile data and reports with strategic insights to inform funding decisions.
• Support capability-building and best practice in evaluation and reporting.
