Ramboll in the United Kingdom and Ireland is offering Environmental Impact Assessment graduate roles across multiple UK locations, including Manchester. The program provides mentorship, structured development, and exposure to national and international projects within Ramboll’s Impact Assessment Global Service Line.

You will work on planning, environmental statements, stakeholder engagement, and interdisciplinary surveys, with hybrid working and opportunities to become chartered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Impact Assessment or related field.
• Enthusiasm for learning, research, and teamwork.
• Adaptability, good time management, problem solving and analytical skills.
• Good digital literacy; GIS and AI literacy (LLMs) beneficial.
• Numerical competence.
• Excellent English communication skills, both oral and written.
• Excellent report writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Support early-stage feasibility assessment and environmental constraints analysis.
• Lead or support environmental impact assessments (screening, scoping, Environmental Statements).
• Coordinate environmental surveys and baseline data collection (ecology, peat, noise, air quality).
• Conduct site inspections and walkover surveys.
• Engage stakeholders and regulators during proposals and public events.
• Coordinate environmental information with design teams and client interfaces.
• Draft Environmental Statement chapters and summaries.
• Develop disciplines and support environmental chapters as needed.
• Assist business development and proposal preparation.
