Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust is seeking an Immunisation Nurse for a 12-month fixed-term Band 5 role in Essex. The post involves delivering vaccines in schools and community settings, with a 37.5-hour week and occasional evenings and weekends.
Salary £32,073–£39,043 per annum pro rata, with travel across Essex and a full UK driving licence required. The successful candidate will have immunisation experience, a public health mindset, and be committed to reducing health inequalities.

We are looking for a public health focused nurse to join our friendly and supportive team in Essex. The team work across the county providing immunisations in schools and community settings, including BCG and Hepatitis B programmes.

Main duties of the job
Delivering immunisations across Essex to children and young people in schools and to individuals of all ages in community clinics. This role has a specific focus on reducing health inequalities by providing vaccinations to hard-to-reach and underserved communities across Essex. Through building strong relationships with local communities and partner organisations the postholder will help identify and address barriers to vaccine uptake, ensuring equitable access to immunisation services and improving health outcomes for vulnerable populations.

The role will require the successful candidates to travel across Essex and so you must hold a full valid driving license and access to a car to use regularly for business purposes is essential (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010).

The Immunisation Nurse is responsible for the delivery of the Immunisation Programmes as delegated by the Team Lead.
