Job summary

Gemini Recruitment is partnering with a large law firm to recruit Immigration Paralegals for permanent positions. The department handles Tier 1 visa matters, asylum claims, and related casework for clients in the UK.

The role involves client meetings, instruction-taking, drafting applications, and supporting funding applications. The ideal candidate will hold IAAS Level 1 or 2 accreditation (or be prepared to pursue), possess a law degree, and demonstrate strong communication and organisational

Qualifications

• Accredited IAAS Level 1 or 2 or working towards accreditation.
• Passion and experience in public immigration law.
• Strong academic background with a Law degree.

Responsibilities

• Attend clients, take instructions and prepare cases.
• Deal with correspondence and maintain file management.
• Prepare and manage funding applications to the Legal Aid Agency.
• Prepare draft documents including witness statements and evidence.
• Draft Home Office applications and representations.
• Attend conferences and court as required.
• Maintain accurate time costing procedures.
