Job summary

A well-regarded organization is seeking an experienced Immigration Lawyer or Legal Advisor in West Yorkshire to assist with obtaining passports and British citizenship for children in care. Locum Contract: 6+ Months

A well-regarded organisation in the West Yorkshire region is seeking an experienced and proactive lawyer or legal professional to join their friendly team on a locum basis. The role focuses on navigating the processes and complexities of obtaining passports and/or British citizenship for children in care.

  • Guide and manage the application process for passports and citizenship for children in care.
  • Collaborate with the social care team and resolve cases by applying legal knowledge.
  • Streamline processes, prepare applications, and ensure compliance with embassy requirements.
  • Upskill the team in immigration law and citizenship procedures.

The contract is expected to be for a minimum of 6 months with some office attendance in West Yorkshire on a hybrid basis. Part‑time and full‑time hours are available, with a minimum of 2 working days per week. The start date is aimed for sometime in January, but this may be negotiable for the right candidate.
