Job summary

Convene Rathbone in London opens soon and seeks a Conference & Events Supervisor to lead the opening team through high-profile events. You’ll oversee operations, ensure smooth flow of events, and maintain exceptional guest experiences in a fast-paced setting.

You’ll collaborate with managers to deliver signature Convene service, uphold safety standards, and drive revenue through efficient event execution. This role requires a flexible schedule and a passion for hospitality.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of progressive experience in a conference center or related field.
• Supervisory responsibility preferred.
• Strong knowledge of service standards and different service types.
• Knowledge of food & beverage preparation techniques, health regulations and liquor laws.
• Willingness to work long hours when needed.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and set up culinary service efficiently for participants; follow Program Execution Order.
• Lead service team, setup, utilities, maintenance, and security.
• Coordinate culinary service between culinary and service teams.
• Monitor inventory and ensure accurate counts.
• Enforce safety regulations and emergency procedures; maintain cleanliness of service areas.
• Train service staff to maintain standards.
• Manage opening/closing inspection duties.
• Maintain front and back-of-house cleanliness.
• Ensure positive client satisfaction and courteous guest interaction.
