Job summary

Step Teachers is seeking enthusiastic Nursery Practitioners to join flexible short-term and long-term opportunities in Attleborough and surrounding areas. You will support young children aged 0–5 within various early years settings, promoting safety, curiosity and learning through play.

Ideal candidates have nursery or early years experience, a good understanding of EYFS, strong communication and teamwork skills, and a nurturing approach. Safeguarding commitments and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a nursery or early years setting.
• Understanding of the EYFS framework and child development.
• Caring, patient, and nurturing approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with children and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Support planning and delivery of age-appropriate activities in line with EYFS.
• Assist with care, supervision, and well-being of children aged 0–5.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
• Support children's social, emotional, physical, and early learning development.
• Contribute to observations and learning records when required.
• Support children with personal care routines where appropriate.
• Work collaboratively with early years practitioners and nursery staff.
• Uphold safeguarding procedures and promote children's welfare at all times.
