Hays is partnering with a prominent organisation in Wombourne to recruit an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk on a temporary basis. The role supports the purchase ledger function within a fast-paced finance team and requires the ability to start immediately.

Responsibilities include processing invoices, matching and coding, reconciling statements, and assisting with month-end tasks. A strong eye for detail and the ability to work autonomously are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in Purchase Ledger / Accounts Payable.
• Ability to handle high volumes of invoices and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Excellent communication with suppliers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Process a high volume of purchase invoices accurately and efficiently.
• Match, batch and code invoices per procedures.
• Investigate and resolve supplier queries promptly.
• Reconcile supplier statements and assist with month-end tasks.
• Support accounts payable with ad hoc duties as required.
