Hays are delighted to be partnering with a leading technology business to recruit a Payroll Specialist for an ASAP start on an ongoing temporary basis (min 3 months). The role covers all aspects of payroll processing for a bureau client, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Key responsibilities include processing multiple pay runs, maintaining records, calculating deductions, and submitting tax filings. The ideal candidate has ADP experience, Excel skills, and strong confidentiality.

Qualifications

  • Experience as Payroll Specialist or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processes, laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency in payroll software (ADP) and Microsoft Office.
  • Intermediate or advanced Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Relevant certification such as Certified Payroll Professional is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Process payroll for multiple pay runs accurately and on time.
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure data integrity.
  • Prepare and submit payroll tax filings and reports.
  • Respond to payroll enquiries and resolve issues.
  • Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless payroll operations.
