Job summary

Try Temps Limited is seeking an experienced Chrome Plater for an ongoing contract position in Basildon, Essex. You will perform chrome plating on engineering components to required specifications, with potential for permanent placement based on workload and performance.

Role requires 2–5 years of industrial chrome plating experience, operating chrome plating equipment, and a solid understanding of coating thickness and surface finish. Immediate start with 4-week temp-to-perm prospect.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years' hands-on industrial chrome plating experience.
• Proven experience operating chrome plating equipment.
• Knowledge of hard chrome plating processes.
• Ability to identify plating defects and assess coating thickness.
• Strong health & safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Prepare components for chrome plating.
• Clean, degrease and surface prepare.
• Set up and operate chrome plating tanks and equipment.
• Carry out hard chrome plating processes.
• Monitor plating bath conditions and achieve coating thickness.
• Inspect components before and after plating.
• Complete production and quality records.
