Job summary

Office Angels in Middlesbrough is urgently hiring an Assistant Accountant to join a busy finance team. The role involves day-to-day accounting support, reconciliations, and assisting with month-end tasks.

It is a temporary assignment of around 3 months with potential to extend, starting immediately for the right candidate. The ideal candidate will have experience in accounting, strong Excel skills and a working knowledge of reconciliations; AAT qualification or current studies are highly

Qualifications

• AAT desirable or currently studying.
• Experience in accounting/finance environment with reconciliations.
• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day accounting support within a busy finance team.
• Reconcile approximately 100 accounts and ensure accuracy.
• Assist with high-volume reconciliations and deadlines.
• Investigate discrepancies and resolve outstanding items.
• Support wider finance team with queries and ad-hoc tasks.
