Job summary

Cover People is recruiting an Art & Design Teacher for a welcoming Rochdale secondary school, starting immediately for the remainder of the academic year. The role covers KS3 and KS4 and offers a full-time, long-term contract.

You will deliver engaging lessons, assess progress, manage classes effectively and support pupils\' portfolios. QTS or equivalent is required, with strong subject knowledge and a passion for art.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent UK teaching qualification.
• Strong subject knowledge across KS3 & KS4 Art & Design.
• Experience teaching Art & Design at secondary level.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality Art & Design lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Plan and deliver engaging, creative lessons in line with the school's curriculum.
• Monitor, assess and track pupil progress effectively.
• Manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment.
• Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of a diverse range of learners.
• Encourage pupils to develop their creativity, artistic techniques and confidence.
• Support pupils in developing their portfolios and practical skills where appropriate.
• Contribute to the wider Art & Design department and school community.
• Support the academic and personal development of all learners.
